Matthew 25:35-36

Hello to all in the Glorious Name above all names, JESUS CHRIST,

We pray this July news letter finds each one of you walking in the favor & love of our LORD. What an wonderful & beautiful Savior we serve. HE has so much love for ?ALL? of HIS children & so willing to share it with ?ALL? that will just believe & receive by faith. HE will turn no-one away.

Half of 2008 is gone & if I had to put it into three words of how the first half has been, it would be ; WOW, BUT GOD !! We don?t have enough paper & ink to write everything that GOD has allowed us to be a small part of & all of the wonderful things we have witnessed HIM do, so we will just give you some of the highlights & GOD all the praise.

First, GOD called us to start a full time worship center in March (Beth-EL Genesis Worship Center). It has been an incredible opportunity to draw into our LORD. We are small in physical numbers, but being equipped daily with HIS WORD & teachings. We have not yet gone into the fields of harvest to tell everyone we are here. We are open to all that come, but we are waiting until GOD says, ?Now go & tell?. HE is preparing us for a wonderful & powerful adventure in HIS love & we want to be prepared to give the best for the Kingdom. We are having services only on Sunday mornings starting at 10 A.M. until & we welcome all looking a home worship center.

We have also started a men?s prayer breakfast meeting on the first Sat. of each month. We start at 7 A.M. & fellowship until 8:30 to 9. We give you an open invitation to come & join us. We encourage all men & young men (teenagers) to share this time with us. We just ask that you please let us know if you can come in order to have plenty of food.

In Feb. we became partners with the N.C. Food Bank. We have always had a small food bank & you have helped it be a wonderful blessing. Since the partnership with NCFB, we have been able to reach many, many more people in need & share the Gospel in a different area. We do get some items free, but still most food items cost, even though the prices only average about $0.18 per pound. This has become a powerful out reach. We are still just meeting needs & not just wants. Last month we were able to reach 41 different families & in these families were a total of 123 people, lots of them were children. Thank you for your continuing support so that we can go to Raleigh & purchase food for those in need. There is a greater need now than it has been in over forty years.

The message for this news letter has been very enlightening to me. It is a message you here often spoken of in church, but we found out that most do not understand it. NO it?s not tithing or about money, it is about fasting. We truly believe in fasting. We do different types of fasting at different times. We have fasted all food, some food (sweets, meats etc.), TV, outside contact, phones & now we are fasting wrong thinking. Most Christians don?t fast at all, some fast one meal sometimes, but most do not understand fasting at all. We have even seen family members get angry with other family members when they fast, especially if they are fasting the phone or other outside interferences. This should be a time to rejoice & encourage those who are fasting. What does GOD?S word say? In Matthew 4:1-2 we see that JESUS fasted. If HE fasted, it should be a part of our daily faith walk. JESUS fasted forty days. HE fasted food, but also, HE removed HIMSELF from ?ALL? outside contacts (study what John the Baptizer did). You may say, ?I can?t do that.? Well maybe you can start with a half day & see just how great our LORD responds to that short time, then you will want more & you will make more time. What happened to JESUS as HE came out of the fasting? HE was attacked by satan. How did JESUS handle satan? With the WORD of GOD that HE received while fasting & praying. Who won? But of course, JESUS. In Mark 9:14-29 we see JESUS coming down from the mountain where HIS transfiguration had just happened. HE sees a disturbance where a man had brought his son to the disciples for healing & they could not. JESUS heals him & the disciples ask why they couldn?t. Verse 29 says, ?And HE said unto them, This kind can by no other means come forth, but by prayer & fasting?. JESUS was not telling them to go fast & pray then, but that in order to handle life?s situation when they come at us, we must be fasted & prayed up in advance. That is what JESUS did & means for us to do. Prayer & fasting is time we spend seeking a closer relationship with GOD. When we pray & ?really? fast, it is a time of drawing in to a place with GOD that you can not get any other way. After all, HE said; (Draw nigh to GOD, and HE will draw nigh to you?..? (James 4:8). Having troubles that you can?t overcome when they come at you? Think about what JESUS & many others in GOD?S word did??FAST & PRAY. We encourage you to study true fasting, it will bring you closer to GOD. Be prepared, because the attacker is coming (John 10:10).

Thank you all again for you support. Please let us know if we can help in any way. May you seek & find the blessings of our LORD. HE really wants to bless you !!!

Serving a life sentence in CHRIST JESUS,
Wayne, Sally & Heather Baker
